And we wandered off to not one, but two restaurants this day. Here are the patterns and views from traveling.
Light patterns from the blinds.
And the view through the blinds.
Colorful garden plants.
For lease up to 2 gazillion square feet and a view of the restaurant.
Glowing green roof. Evidence of alien contamination?
The roads are like highways out in Valencia, where the bricks are insane.
Southern California downpour.
What's on your ceiling?

A Trip to the non-Warren Buffet
And we wandered off to the morning's buffet brunch.
The usual contradictions of buffet brunch. Fruit, potatoe with an e, pasta with red sauce, rib singular and pasta with white sauce. And all of it slopping over and into the next item.
This is your bacon before you eat the bacon and this is your brain after you eat the bacon.
And this is the bacon after you've eaten most of it. Hopefully not your brain before you eat the bacon.
Take this blog with a grain of salt.
Sweet champagne, with humidity.
Cool cool refreshing glass of water.
A much too delicious oreo crusted non-cheese cake something else pie.

Time for dessert: blueberry cream pie.

Larchmont District Shops
Visited the Larchmont district near Melrose and Vine over by the Wilshire country club. These are pictures of some of the shops.
Barber shop has been here for quite some time, from before this was a happening area.
Alley way for tenants only. No deliveries, so what's the point? Are we talking residential tenants? And not commercial tenants?
I like the green paint job for the Avocado Grill, but I'm less certain about visiting an all-green skin care and massage mini-spa. Perhaps Kermit might enjoy a visit?
Please, step into my back parlour for cookies and milk. Over here is the master bedroom suite and down this hallway you can find the children's bedrooms. Can you imagine spending 8 work hours a day in this? Where do you take breaks? And the bathroom?
One of the less quainter (is that a word?) establishments.

Santa Monica near Sepulveda
I visited south of campus and took a few shots there. I haven't posted in a while, I've got a new OS, new laptop, new monitor, new picture tools and blogger has been updated as well. Hopefully the pictures are still good.
Door handles. I may need to go back and get a better shot of those handles, just hanging in the air.
Words floating in space. I'm feeling dyslexic right about now.
Tall building, and its not mobile. I wonder if anyone has told Exxon-Mobil that they have been misspelling mobile all these years?
Is that AT&T water?
Camera tends to saturate with bright colors. Pretty pink flowers.
She just looks uncomfortable to me. Like Sue in Glee after something good happens. Plus there's only 2 hour parking.
LA County prison facility number three hundred and twenty.
Mini-mall over shadowed by tall non-mobile building.
Reflections of coffee past, coffee present, and coffee yet to come.

More found objects
Some more things lying around Canyon Country.
Couple electrical boxes on the street, with photographer shadow. Rather different coloration on those boxes, wouldn't you say?
Bricked in kiln.
What? You don't have a statue of an elk baying at the moon in your neighborhood?
Time to get a new wagon wheel. Canyon Country has vendors who sell these things. Though, usually they include the entire wheel. Not sure you can get just a portion of the wheel.
Rusty rusty rusty. And they wonder why the sewer rats suffer from iron poisoning.
Shopping bags are handy for carrying water. But when it spills, its a big mess.

Vistas and Found Items: A Miscellania
A last collection of pictures from today's walk. I took approximately a four mile walk through Canyon Country after the recent spate of storms. This is the last of five sets of photos.
House with four windows and a deck.
Deck without four windows or a house. One heckuva long deck.
Freeway. What collection of shots of Los Angeles would be complete without a freeway shot?
Found item. What's in your cart?
Two boys on the flood plain. The older one is about to show the younger one how to throw rocks in the water.
Horse farm, bridge and houses.
A river, result of the recent rains.
Puddles in the field.
Canyon Country Cavern.
Choo Choo!

Trees
A collection of trees in Canyon Country. First day with sun after a week of heavy rains. The clouds in later photos are very rare animals indeed.
An intimate portrait of new leaves.
Two trees on the hill.
Two more trees. One real, one fake. Ok ok. Palm trees are real too.
Clouds coming in. This might be a cotton tree.
Dead tree standing.
Living tree standing.
This picture is going in, good or not. Chopped down tree. I couldn't count the tree rings, but it looked to be pretty old.
