COC Plants

College of the Canyons plant life, and one flying bunny rabbit.

This isn't as much about the plants as about their shadows.

Bulbous nobbikins and non-canine bark.

Who knew rabbits could fly?  Straight out of that Wagner opera "Der Fliegende Hase".  Where's Bugs when you need him?

The colors of floral bloomers, from pink rose to embarrassed greens.

Pink pink pinK.

Uncolored Cacophony

Concrete substance.  The opposite of color.

Stairs off into the distance.

The path frequently trod.  Like the boards except concrete.

Kaleidoscopic Color

Colorful events at COC

Tents, tees, tables.

A fire truck at careers day.

COC Buildings

We've looked at these buildings in the past, but this is the first time with the new camera.

The flying saucer is featured in the ongoing television show Make It or Break It.  Also known as the PAC, performing arts center.

COC features heavy use of concrete and signs.

Wall shadow.

Set piece: Elevators and Trash.

Unclear on the concept.  I'm not sure what's going on here.  Perhaps it will be clearer when the construction finishes.

Bright and shiny on the roof.

Coffee kiosk is open and has one happy customer.

The dust hog is very very impressive.

Baseball Field Pictures

The baseball field at College of the Canyons
Still exploring how to blog and how to take pictures with the new Nikon.

Up in the bleachers.

The dugouts are not actually dug-out.  This metal covering looks like it would radiate heat in the hot California sun.

Infield dirt textures.  The machine to do this was on the side of the field.

I'm assuming these are for putting baseballs in and not for holding paint.

Hat trick.

Mini-bleachers and picnic table.

Balloons at College of the Canyons

Whimsical balloons

Up in the sky! It's a bird, it's a plane!  It's balloon-man!

Attention seeking balloons.  And ersatz balloons below the stop sign that never deflate, never float off.

The other side of the street, more attention seeking balloons.  Fewer ersatz balloons.

A large band of balloons.  And her hair color on the end is dyed to match.

Somebody had a lot of helium.

Raccoons

Visiting friends' house and a masked bandit came to visit.

Whoa, you caught me!  The raccoon didn't mind the flash at all.

My friends feed feral cats (all spayed and neutered except a recent new one) and occasionally this fellow invites himself over.  Those dexterous front paws efficiently cleaned up the spilled cat food.  Didn't leave a single piece.

Evil look and slight glimpse of teeth.  Almost looks more like a werewolf than a werewolf.  Or is that more like a vampire than a vampire?
