My occasional collection of odds and ends found lying around Canyon Country.
Coffee colored spill tells a story.
Who leaves hats in the planters?
CVS buckets.
Water meters awaiting disconnection.
Path to somewhere behind the shops. I picture Matt Damon or Daniel Craig running down the path as bullets ricochet.
At first it appeared to be a pizza. Near the hat above.
One of the older wooden ATM models.
Always inspect the gutters, you might see a cave painting Merrill Lynch bull in tar.
I picture the city bus shelter painting crews coming through to periodically paint the bus stop green and they got the shopping cart at the same time.
Two pipes for feeding the plants. I fear evil is afoot.
Typical awesometown Stalinist architecture.
Either a rotting mushroom or a rotting coconut off the Canyon Country coconut tree.

Fall Fire Hydrant Colors
In Canyon Country, even the fire hydrants turn beautiful colors.
Traditional yellow with frayed belt.
New neoprene caps in orange.
And a hydrant in full Fall color change

Canyon Country: Fall Views and Colors
Canyon Country has had a long cold spell these several weeks and leaves have turned bright fall colors, not something we can count on every Fall. We'll have several postings of Fall foliage here.
Red leaves turning. From the backyard.
Yellow lilies.
Tree shadow.
Succulent? You bet.
Elephant foot. Not everything changes color.
I first thought that was an owl on the branch. As I came closer, it expanded to be a dogleg in the branch.
Common Canyon Country water run-off gully.

UCLA and Westwood Found Objects
Some odds and ends from in and around UCLA.
Odd striping. This is what happens if you paint while drinking.
An askew no jaywalking sign; adding to the ambiance of faded glory that envelopes Westwood.
I really have no idea. Perhaps a scaffolding for midgets? Spacecraft infrastructure? This is on the roof surrounded by roofing tiles stacked umpteen deep.
So many illegal bike racks, so little time.

UCLA Buildings, Early Morning
Shots of UCLA buildings early morning just after the daylights savings time shift. Suddenly it was early daylight when I arrive on campus.
The Teraski building. Reflections on trees in windows.
Again Terasaki building. Many windows.
I've never really appreciated this building, but it does have several interesting architectural features, which I haven't quite managed to get yet. This is one try. That round stairwell is an interesting feature. I'll keep trying to snap it.
Glow-in-the-light entrance to the parking structure. They try hard to hide these things, make them less than ugly.

UCLA Plant Life
The existence of odd plants.
I don't know what sort of fruit these are. I'm guessing this is the current evolutionary path of the pod people that took over the world in the 50's. Perhaps a vampire pod people that like to hang upside from trees while growing into pods that can take over the world.
Prickly little creature.
Bottle brush for dusting those hard to reach places.

Three Parts of One Photo, Westwood and UCLA
These are three parts of one photograph. One pigeon part, one palm tree part and a larger part that contains the other two.
Pigeon godhead rising out of light.
Love that glow-in-the-light stop sign. Didn't give you a shot of just the stop sign.

Palm reflected in background building. Sorry for the blur.
